The real McCoy
The serious part of the evening then came, with the proper awards for everybody that had actually played cricket or been involved with the club!
Firstly, skipper and vice skipper Daniel and Phil presented, Tom Connell a Lifetime Achievement Award, for Scoring and Maintaining the website, over a very prolonged period of time!
Secondly, Tony Westwell got a Lifetime Achievement Award for serving the club for time immemorial. We tracked back scorebooks to 94' (but are told there are many many more!) - with Tony playing over 300 games, scored over 3000 runs, bowling over 2000 overs and taking over 500 wickets. (and still going strong)!

Daniel Bridgen was then awarded Bowler of the Year by Phil Pollard and Tony Westwell for taking 15 wickets of just under 25.
It was then time for the big trophy, the one every player from any sport wants to win, The Players Player Trophy - six players were nominated - Taking the award by a considerable margin, was Phil Pollard. Phil scored over 300 runs which included three 50's at an average of over 30, taking vital wickets (7 in total) and catches too, and is the best vice captain there has ever been.
All in all a fantastic evening for Eversley Park Cricket Club - with the club on a positive note looking forward to getting out and playing again in April 2016!
